Here are some quick pics from Fashion Week that I forgot to post. This collection definitely looked like celebrity " Red Carpet" attire.

This is the outfit that I magically whipped together in 1 day for NYFW where unfortunately I only stayed for one day due to work, school, and surprisingly feeling homesick. NYFW is normally always a fun experience that I look forward to months in advance, but this yr I was kind of just over it.

Anywho... I am so glad that 1 yr later I was finally able to wear the final results of this jacket that was a DIY project from hell. I had a school project from 2 yrs ago where I had used soda can tabs that I purchased in bulk and b/c I didn't want to throw the leftovers away I decided to put it to good use...on the sleeves of my fav jacket after getting inspo from MK Olsen's Givenchy jacket here. Gluing the pcs on took FOREVR but instantly fell in love with the finished project. I then free hand painted the jacket with a cool hamsa design. (I think I'm going to be revamping all of my old jackets now lol). Also this skirt is a skirt I bought from the sale section of H&M that I cut into a triangle design and added gold trim to give it more texture. Whala!!! I was going for comfort this yr and was pleased with my results.

I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th Festivities. It has been raining or overcast every other day here so it's hard to get a good photo op in. For this outfit, I was really inspired by one of my fashion icons Jimi Hendrix. I love his free spirited nature & how he didn't take life too seriously. At the end of the day, he did what makes him happy. If you haven't yet check out his movie on Netflix ft. Andre 3000 All is By My Side. If you're a huge Jimi fan, the movie is disappointing because they didn't elaborate too much on what he's known for.

I've had this sheer maxi dress for a whole summer with the tags still attached until last weekend when I decided to give it a chance outside of my closet. I love how lightweight it is and the color allowed me to pair anything with it. I slit the sides to give it a high split in case I wanted to do any karate kicks. lol. To give it an edgy look, I paired it with my fav summer hat and these DIY knee high peeptoe boots. Loved how comfortable I felt in this outfit.
