-Thrifting is cool and all but nothing beats inheriting (or taking) a nice vintage piece from a family mother. I feel that it holds more sentimental value than scoring a lucky piece at your local thrift store because you can get the history out of it. For women, mostly every article of clothing holds some type of value or has a story behind it (why you bought it, how many times you wore it, where it came from, etc). Unfortunately, I have raided my Mom's closet at the early age of 12, so she doesn't own any vintage items anymore. Luckily for my boyfriend's Awesome grandma, she just recently dumped a closet full of her old clothes my way. That moment can be described as one's best Christmas Ever or receiving your first bike; you know the one that included ribbons, a basket, and horn! There were sooo.. many goodies in there, I didn't know where to start; from jumpsuits to awesome brocaded blazers, suede pants, dresses...I was so pressed I wanted to wear everything at once! Don't judge me :)
