- This was my outfit that I wore to the premier of my first New York Fashion Week, which by the way was A Freaking A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! I will post more pictures this week of the streetsyle that I captured from my two day experience as well as looks from the fashion shows that I saw of course. With this outfit I wanted to make a loud enough statement to stand out but at the same time blend in well with the crowd. I knew everyone was going to be formal for the most part so I chose to showcase my edgier side. I love the emergence of sports attire being more everyday wear, but I didn't want to look like I just came from a run heading to a fashion show. So I paired my Adidas slimfit sweatpants (which are super comfy by the way) with a vintage Jones New York blazer. I loved the way the calf haired heels gave a wow factor to the outfit. The turban was a necessary essential because the forecast predicted a 50% chance of rain and I didn't want my hair to look like a wet poodle. Everyone at the event was drawn to my purse which was given to me by my Sister in Law. When she first gave it to me I knew exactly when and where it was going to have its first premier. It was actually just a cigar box, but with it's perfect clutch size and beaded handle I couldn't resist. People at New York Fashion Week I noticed like to see how unordinary objects make their way into people's closets.
